Understanding Allen County Released Inmates
A release ends one custody episode, but it does not always mean that the person walked into the community. Those figures do not establish the price of every jail record, so obtain a quote. No official source supplies a fixed Allen jail-log retention period. The date fields filter booking dates rather than release dates. An older booking that ended today may therefore fall outside a recent booking cohort. Allen publishes no separate rolling release-date filter, no verified update cadence, and no promised online retention period. Review each candidate's Actual Release Date, record the time checked, and use a request for a complete interval.
The official inquiry is the basis for the Released Last 24 Hours method, but it is not a complete same-day feed.
ODRC Search for Allen County Releases
The Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction Offender Search covers Ohio prison custody, judicial release, release history, and APA supervision. It does not cover a person who only bonded out of the Allen County jail.

On the detail page, distinguish INCARCERATED, APA SUPERVISION, RELEASED, and JUDICIAL RELEASE. “Expected Release Date/Parole Eligibility Date” is prospective. Confirm departure through status and Parole or Release Detail instead of treating that future field as an actual event.

Which Allen Court Explains Release
The Allen court split is central to release verification. Allen County Common Pleas records cover felony criminal cases and county probation. Lima Municipal Court supplies the relevant misdemeanor and city docket when it has jurisdiction. Search both when the charge level or arresting path is uncertain.
The Sheriff's Records Bureau expressly warns that its computerized arrest record reports bookings but does not provide final disposition. Read signed or filed journal entries for bond, recognizance, dismissal, sentence, jail-time credit, commitment, probation, warrant, termination, or discharge. A sheriff timestamp can establish the physical event while the court entry establishes its legal basis.
Allen Release to Supervision or W.O.R.T.H.
ODRC and the Ohio Adult Parole Authority manage state parole and post-release control. Allen Common Pleas manages felony community control through county probation, while Lima Municipal Court operates probation within its jurisdiction. These systems cannot be substituted for one another.
Allen Common Pleas judges also participate in W.O.R.T.H. Center governance. A move from jail to the center at 243 East Bluelick Road is a court-ordered community-corrections placement, not unconditional community release. Getting Home After an Allen Release
Allen County RTA operates fixed-stop service six days each week, and Route 4 is North Main. Riders must wait at a signed stop, and service is unavailable on listed holidays. The reviewed sources do not establish a stop at the jail door or identify the release exit.
Check the current route and stop information or call 419-222-2782 before planning a pickup. The transit office is at 200 E. High Street, Suite 1C, in Lima. A release time may not line up with service, so direct confirmation avoids promising transportation that is not available.
Allen Release Alerts and Federal Searches
Ohio VINELink and 1-800-770-0192 provide person searches and notifications based on data supplied by participating county and ODRC systems. A VINE event is valuable corroboration, but the sheriff or ODRC remains the source for the official custody record.
For federal prison, use the BOP Inmate Locator, which can show a release date or that a person is not in BOP custody. That does not rule out supervision or another sovereign's custody. ICE ODLS concerns current immigration detention and is not a complete historical release database. An Allen jail transfer to ICE is not community release. If sources disagree, preserve the check times. Treat the direct custody agency as primary for physical status and the court as primary for legal authority.
Allen County Release Facilities
Allen County contains several distinct custody and correctional settings. Their records cannot be merged into one roster.

- Allen-Oakwood Correctional Institution is an ODRC state prison; use statewide status and release detail.
- W.O.R.T.H. Center is a community-based correctional placement; confirm status through court and probation.
- Allen County Juvenile Detention Center is governed by juvenile confidentiality, not adult lookup assumptions.
- Lima Police Department holding is temporary municipal custody; the durable trail usually continues with sheriff booking and court.
AOCI's location in Allen County does not mean every person there was sentenced locally or will return to Allen County. Likewise, leaving the county jail for AOCI is a transfer, not release from Ohio custody.
